Hands Off Our Vote- Election Protection Volunteer Training [Manhattan]

Join us for Hands Off Our Vote, a powerful statewide Election Protection initiative led by Common Cause New York to safeguard voter access amid rising challenges like misinformation, intimidation, and administrative barriers. Building on more than a decade of election protection work, this initiative strengthens coalition coordination, rapid-response support, and community-based voter assistance to help ensure every eligible voter can participate with confidence.

Volunteers and partners will be trained to provide accurate, real-time voter information, respond to interference at the polls, and support voters through the election process with multilingual and culturally competent care. Special focus is placed on communities that have historically faced barriers to participation.

The Riverside Church will host one of five interactive in-person trainings across New York City’s five boroughs. Participants will gain practical tools through voter rights education, de-escalation strategies, and hands-on role-playing exercises designed to prepare them for real-world election protection work.
