Riverside Children & Families Ministry is a vibrant and inclusive community where children and families grow together in love, faith, and fellowship. We cherish every child as a valued member of our church family and are dedicated to nurturing their spiritual journey in a fun, engaging, and safe environment.

Our program offers a wide range of age-appropriate activities, including interactive Bible lessons, creative arts and crafts, music, and games. We emphasize core values like compassion, kindness, and justice, encouraging children to live out their faith in meaningful ways. Our passionate and trained educators are committed to creating a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where all children can flourish.

Infants & Toddlers

Nursery care begins at 10:30am. Infants and toddlers may be dropped off in the nursery, where our trained nursery care team will care for them throughout worship. Nursery care continues until worship concludes. The nursery is open every Sunday during the school year unless otherwise announced.

Preschool through 2nd Grade

10:00am — Cherub Choir | MLK 721
Our preschool through 2nd grade members begin the morning with Cherub Choir.

11:00am — Worship | Nave
Children and families join the congregation for worship. Our children are invited to process in with the clergy and sit in the front, reserved pews.

11:30am — Sunday School | MLK 721
After worship, preschool through 2nd grade members return to MLK 721 for Sunday School.

Please note: The 7th floor requires a security code. You can request a code from the security desk or our Education Office on the 3rd floor of the MLK building.

3rd–6th Grade

10:00am — Rising Voices Choir | Chapel of the Cross, MLK 3
Our 3rd through 6th graders begin the morning with Rising Voices Choir.

11:00am — Worship | Nave
Children join their families and the wider congregation for worship. Our children are invited to process in with the clergy and sit in the front, reserved pews.

11:30am — Sunday School | MLK 313
After worship, 3rd through 6th graders head to MLK 313 for Sunday School.

7th–12th Grade

10:00am — Youth Choir | Chapel of the Cross, MLK 3
Youth begin the morning with Youth Choir.

11:00am — Worship | Nave
Youth join the congregation for worship.

11:30am — Youth Group | Youth Room (8T)
After worship, youth return to the Youth Room for games, Bible conversation, snacks, and fellowship.

10:00am — ParentConnect | First Sundays | MLK 318 + Online
Parents and parent guardians meet monthly for ParentConnect in MLK 318 and online.

Grace Space Nursery: Introducing Grace Space! Held every Sunday from 10:30am to 12:30pm, Grace Space offers a welcoming environment where toddlers can explore foundational elements of faith, from Jesus’ infancy narratives and parables to the vibrant celebrations of the church year.  

Preschool and Kindergarten: Led by our devoted Church School teachers, Riverside Preschool and Kindergarten program offers young children a joyful and engaging environment where they can explore their faith and creativity. Children will have the opportunity to sing in the choir, play bells, act out Bible stories, and build lasting friendships. Our diverse activities are designed to nurture our children’s spiritual growth and foster a love for learning and community.
