WORSHIP
“Worship is at the center of the life of The Riverside Church.” And worship is the work of ALL the people (not just the clergy and the musicians). If you would like to help lead the congregation in worshiping God on Sunday mornings, the Worship Ministry is looking for volunteers to read and offer prayers. We are looking for people of ALL ages (from children to seniors and everyone in between). We are also looking for people who speak a language other than English. We are looking for your participation too. So if you want to join us in leading worship, please fill out the form below. We would love to lead worship together with you.
COMMUNION MINISTRY
The Communion Ministry faithfully prepares and serves Communion for worship on the first Sunday of each month and other special liturgical services throughout the year. This ministry assists the clergy in distributing the bread and the cup during service. They help create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure that everyone is served with reverence and care. The preparation team is responsible for setting up the Communion elements, including the bread and the cup. They ensure that everything is in place for a seamless service. Complete the form below if interested in volunteering with this ministry.
GREETERS MINISTRY
Become one of the first faces that people see when they visit The Riverside Church. Our greeters are strategically placed to help first-time visitors, guests and members find their way around the building and answer any questions. Complete the form below if interested in volunteering with this ministry.
USHER MINISTRY
The Usher Ministry has provided hospitality to all who enter The Riverside Church for more than 90 years. The role of a church usher is to help our first-time guests, repeat visitors and members experience the joy and sacredness of our worship service. They greet people in a warm way that makes them feel good about their presence in Church. They serve at Riverside by volunteering their time and talents on Sundays and many other events.
