Support the Riverside Food Pantry

For nearly 40 years, the Riverside Food Pantry has provided meals and groceries to members of the West Harlem and Morningside Heights communities. In recent years, the impacts of the pandemic and rising inflation have created unprecedented need, with the number of individuals seeking food assistance increasing fourfold.

Food Distribution Hours
The pantry distributes food Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We recommend arriving by 12:30 PM.

Effective February 1, 2026, the pantry has implemented a daily cap of 125 guests during distribution hours. The pantry opens at 9:00 AM, and early arrival is strongly encouraged, as service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.

Donations
Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted daily whenever the church building is open. Most-needed items include protein-rich foods such as peanut butter and canned tuna, along with staples like cereal, pasta, rice, soups, and beans. Please note that glass bottles are not accepted.
