Stigma, fear, and negative stereotypes often surround dementia, but more life-affirming approaches to this common and complex human condition are possible. Through sharing some of the experiences and insights that led her to write On Vanishing: Mortality, Dementia, and What It Means to Disappear​, Rev. Harper will invite participants to expand their understanding of dementia beyond progressive vacancy and dread—making room for beauty, hope, friendship, and spiritual growth.
