Memorial Society

The Memorial Society provides guidance, care, support, and comfort for congregants of the church to plan their final wishes and services at Riverside. In addition, congregants can obtain information about how to make their final plans, including the disposition of their remains as well as that of other loved ones. Rev. Tim Dalton works closely with congregants.

The Riverside Church holds funeral and memorial services for members, immediate family, and friends of our faith community. We hold services in both the Nave and Christ Chapel, and offer spaces for repast gatherings. When a death has occurred or is imminent, Rev. Tim Dalton will be notified to provide pastoral care. Rev. Tim meets with family members, prays with them, and guides them in planning a meaningful service. He also travels with the family to the final committal, when requested. Volunteers may also be called upon to assist.
