The Seekers is a study group focused on exploring spirituality through books and videos by progressive theologians. As Carl Jung observed, many religious people struggle with traditional images of God as they mature, finding the idea of a deity “up there” in heaven no longer resonates. This class offers fresh perspectives on the divine, particularly for those seeking a deeper understanding beyond childhood beliefs.
This year, we’ll engage with the video series “Living the Questions: The Wisdom of Progressive Christianity,” featuring insights from theologians like Marcus Borg, John Shelby Spong, John Dominic Crossan, Matthew Fox, and Amy-Jill Levine. In addition to exploring their perspectives, we’ll share and discuss our own experiences in response to each week’s video.
