Info call TONIGHT:
Pilgrimage of Solidarity in the Holy Land

Join us on a transformative journey to the Holy Land, led in partnership with Palestinian Lutheran Minister Pastor Khader Khalilia and Rev. Amanda Ashcraft Hambrick (Middle Church). Pastor Khader has invited us to take part in a Solidarity and Accompaniment Pilgrimage, an opportunity to walk where Jesus walked while standing alongside those who embody his living witness today.
Together, we will visit the sacred sites of our faith: Bethlehem, Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, and Jerusalem. But this is far more than a tour. This is a pilgrimage of presence, reflection, and solidarity. Along the way, we will meet our Palestinian Christian siblings, the “Living Stones” of the Holy Land, hear their stories, worship together, and deepen our understanding of their joys, struggles, and steadfast faith.
Learn more about this trip and ask your questions at our info call TONIGHT at 6:30pm.

This Saturday, September 6, the Nonviolent Medicaid Army will mobilize across the country to demand an end to the Medicaid cutoffs currently underway and those coming, and an expansion of healthcare to all. In NYC, NVMA will be rallying outside the now closed Mt. Sinai Beth Israel hospital (corner of 16th Street and First Avenue) on 9/6/25 at 2:00 PM. Mt Sinai Beth Israel closed despite strong protest from the community it served. The NYC NVMA is rallying here to draw attention to the increasing commodification of healthcare and demand that people’s basic human needs be prioritized over profit margins.

Countdown to Closing Rikers

Tragically, Rikers claimed another life last week – Jimmy Avila’s death is another painful reminder that Rikers cannot close soon enough.
We need your help to collect 1,000 postcards to the Mayor elect to support the Closing of Rikers!
This fall, we’re organizing a new effort to gather postcards in support of closing Rikers – this time, our goal is to gather 1,000 postcards to deliver to the Mayor Elect (whomever that is) on International Human Rights Day (December 10th), urging them to make Closing Rikers a top priority.
The Freedom Agenda created a powerful video that captures how New Yorkers will feel when Rikers is finally closed. You can find and share the video on BlueSky, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Email msj@trcnyc.org to volunteer in postcard writing efforts.
