Letter for Gaza

Letters for Gaza is a new campaign launched by American Friends of Combatants for Peace, in partnership with Friends Committee on National Legislation, Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, and Telos, urging people to send handwritten letters to Congress demanding immediate action for Gaza. One member of Congress recently shared that, while he has received over 200,000 messages on Gaza, it was the handwritten, personal letters that moved him to act.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is dire: over 16,000 children have been killed since October 7—one every 40 minutes—and starvation and dehydration are spreading rapidly. The UN says 500 trucks of aid per day are needed. While a few trucks have entered Gaza, most aid has not reached those in desperate need, especially in the north. This is not just a humanitarian catastrophe; it is a moral one.

Write your letter, then ask a friend to do the same.

Snap a photo of your letter or you mailing it and email or post it using

Let us turn heartbreak into action. Let this be the moment we rise together to demand justice, safety, and freedom for all.

Support the Rent Freeze Campaign

Join our partners at Housing Justice for All and support the Rent Freeze campaign.

Tenants Are the Backbone of New York

Seventy percent of New Yorkers rent. We are the backbone of this city. Tenants are the cooks, cleaners, nurses, teachers, and bus drivers who keep New York running every day. Without us, New York wouldn’t be the city we all love.

Rising Rents Are Pushing Us Out
Housing costs are our biggest expense each month.

2025 is an election year. Tenants are the majority in New York, and together we can elect a mayor who will freeze the rent. By building a voting bloc of thousands of tenants, we can elect a mayor who works for us—not real estate.

Sign this petition to tell every candidate running for mayor: WE NEED A RENT FREEZE!

Faith Based Affordable Housing and Community Development Conference

Our partners, the New York State Council of Churches, have invited us to a transformative summit taking place on June 18, 2025, at The Riverside Church in New York City.

Rebuilding the Sacred Hearts of Our Community will bring together faith-based organizations, housing advocates, financial institutions, and public leaders to explore how we can collaborate more effectively to support affordable housing and community revitalization. As we engage in this work alongside faith communities, we continue to uncover both powerful opportunities and critical challenges.

If you are passionate about housing justice and believe in the role of faith in building equitable communities, please email msj@trcnyc.org to reserve one of 10 free tickets exclusively for Riverside members!
