All Hands on Deck
This Sunday is an “All Hands on Deck” moment.
Metro-IAF canvassed throughout the five boroughs. They knocked on doors, had house meetings and met one on one with New York residents, asking one question: “What do you need the Mayor to do?” New Yorkers responded and highlighted these priorities: Affordable Housing, improve conditions of NYCHA housing, increase access to Mental Healthcare and address community issues such as community safety.
Earlier this year they asked mayoral candidates to make a commitment to addressing these needs and they said yes. Now that we have elected a Mayor, it is time to see if he has kept his word.
Join Metro-IAF and partners throughout the city who are joining together to show our power in numbers in Sunday’s Mayoral Accountability Action. We need to show our Mayor that the pressure doesn’t stop after he said “yes.” We need to see each commitment met. Our power in numbers show just how serious we are. We will show up, standing in solidarity with one another, to secure safe and affordable housing, as well as health and dignity for all New Yorkers.
