MARCH 27, 2025 | RIVERSIDE WEEKLY ACTIONS
Sanctuary Congregational Forum
Saturday, March 29 | 10:00 am | Room 9T
How can we live out our call to be a sanctuary congregation? Join us this Saturday, March 29th, at 10 AM in room 9T as we reflect on what faith and justice demand of us in this moment.
Together, we’ll explore The Riverside Church’s sanctuary commitment—past and present—through storytelling, dialogue, and shared hopes. We’ll address immigration concerns, uplift impacted voices, and discover meaningful ways to get involved.
The morning will feature activities inspired by Theatre of the Oppressed, updates on legal advocacy, and opportunities to make personal commitments. Come as you are, leave inspired. Let’s reimagine what sanctuary means today with your voice in the room.
Please RSVP below.
Multifaith Mondays: Moral Witness for Democracy
Mondays | 5:30pm – 6:00pm | Columbus Circle
Join Us for Weekly Vigils at Columbus Circle
Mondays | 5:30–6:00 PM
(Gather at the USS Maine Statue, SW corner of Central Park)
Multifaith Monday Vigils create a sacred space for collective lament, prophetic resistance, and moral clarity in a time of deep division. If nothing else, we can stand together, bear witness, and commit to justice—even when the path is uncertain.
As M. Gessen reminds us, “Autocratic power requires the degradation of moral authority.” By gathering, we choose to reinforce and strengthen moral authority, countering isolation and overwhelm.
We look forward to standing with you.

Urgent Appeal to help us provide 40,000+ Ramadan Meals for Asylum Seekers in NYC
With Ramadan happening now, we urgently request your support. This Ramadan, thousands of asylum seekers in New York City are observing the holy month while facing food insecurity. Many come from West & North Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, and other regions, struggling to find halal, culturally appropriate meals for Suhoor and Iftar.
With limited resources, mosques and community spaces cannot meet the growing need. Many go without a meal at dawn or sunset. Your support changes that. Help us provide over 40,000 meals so none of our brothers and sisters are left hungry this Ramadan.
