The Tower League is a supportive, caring community of older adults. The group fosters fellowship, educational opportunities, social activities, outreach, and spiritual growth for members and friends of The Riverside Church. Tower League is a ministry within the auspices of Rev. Tim Dalton, Minister of Congregational Care and Older Adults.
Each month, from September to June, Tower League leaders and staff distribute a newsletter containing information about the members and upcoming activities. Some of the favorite programs/events have been: film viewings and discussions; writing/art workshops; musical performances; trips to museums, gardens, and plays; programs on maintaining good health; Black History and Women’s History celebrations; service projects for the Riverside Pantry and Shower Projects; Annual Toy Drive for the Prison Ministry; and many more. During the summer, when Tower League is on hiatus, a Special Summer Newsletter is published containing writing of the members and friends of Tower League.
From September to June, the Tower League gathers every Thursday for a full afternoon of Bible Study, special programs, and presentations. Twice a month, this gathering is in person and includes lunch. On other Thursdays, the meetings are on Zoom. Please contact Rev. Tim Dalton, Minister of Congregational Care and Older Adults, for more information via email or by calling 212.870.6741.
