Seekers Book Study

The Seekers is a study group that explores spirituality through the works of progressive theologians and thoughtful writers. As Carl Jung once observed, many people outgrow the childhood image of God as someone “up there” in heaven. This class invites participants to discover fresh and deeper ways of understanding the divine that speak to a mature and evolving faith.

This year, in conversation with One Book, One Riverside, who are reading Octavia Butler’s Parable of the Sower, we will read its sequel, Parable of the Talents. Other books planned for the year include:

• The First Christmas by Marcus Borg & Dominic Crossan

• The Bible Says So by Dan McClellan

• The God We Never Knew by Marcus Borg

• The Tears of Things by Richard Rohr

Classes begin Sunday, September 28, at 9:00 AM in Room 323 and on Zoom.
Please note there will be no class on the following Sundays: 11/2, 12/28, 1/4, 2/8, 4/5, and 5/24.
