Ash Wednesday Imposition of Ashes

Wednesday, February 14 at Noon – 2PM ET

“Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; rend your hearts and not your clothing. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from punishment.” —Joel 2:12-13

This Ash Wednesday, February 14th, marks the beginning of our Lenten journey—a time for prayer, reflection, and preparation. Imposition of ashes will be available at the 116th Street–Columbia University subway station on Wednesday from 7-9AM, and in the Nave from 12-2PM.

We also invite you to experience our Ash Wednesday Worship Service, with imposition of ashes, at 7PM, both in the Nave and viewable via livestream.
