Advent Reflections: Waiting with Hope, Joy, and Peace

December 20 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 8:30 am on Saturday, repeating until December 20, 2025

You’re Invited to Gatherings to Move Our Hearts to the Themes of Advent

Advent is the beginning of the Church calendar each year. This beautiful season invites us into expectation, celebration, and hope as we remember the birth of the promised Messiah and look toward the fulfillment of Christ’s work among us.

Each year, the Advent wreath helps us mark this journey — its candles representing Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, and finally, on Christmas, the Christ candle itself. This year, we’d like to take time together to reflect more deeply on these themes.

You are warmly invited to join us for a Zoom discussion group on three Saturdays during Advent — December 6, 13, and 20 at 8:30 AM (EST). For an hour each week, we’ll explore thoughtful readings on Advent’s themes: hope and anticipation, joy and lament, peace and faith.

Come as you’re able, bring your coffee, tea, granola, Danish or an egg and sausage biscuit (we are a nice variety of folks as seen in food choices), and share in a conversation that prepares our hearts for Christmas.  Bring a friend as this invite is for all.

We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful Advent journey together.

Contact Stephen Durham if you have any questions.
