The Riverside Church is located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, near Columbia University where Harlem and the Upper West Side meet. The Riverside Drive entrance (490 Riverside Drive) is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Claremont Avenue entrance (91 Claremont Avenue) – which is the accessible entrance – is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Directions

By Subway

Take the 1 Train to 116th Street. Walk north along Broadway to 120th Street, turn left and walk one block to Claremont Avenue, then turn right. The Claremont Avenue entrance will be on your left.

By Bus

Take the M-104, M-4, or M-5 bus to 120th or 122nd Street.

Parking

The Claremont Avenue Garage is operated by Rapid Park Inc., and is accessed from 120th Street between Riverside Drive and Claremont Avenue. Normal hours of operation are daily from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight. There is a fee for parking, with reduced rates available for most worship services.

Tours

Sundays: After worship, we offer a free, one-hour tour led by trained volunteers from the congregation. This tour includes a history of the church and a summary of its programs, architecture, and visits to many of our chapels. No advance reservations are necessary for individuals or groups.

Weekdays: Group one-hour tours are available with advance reservation, Wednesday-Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., as church schedule permits. It is recommended that you secure a reservation at least two weeks in advance. $10 per adult, $5 for seniors, students, and children 10 and over (smaller children are free). All tours originate and end at our Welcome Center / Gift Shop. Please note the carillon is closed to the public and is not open for tours.
