Celebrating the gifts that we send ahead.
For more information contact Ms. Farley Lord, the Minister of Stewardship & Development.
At The Riverside Church we imagine legacy gifts as gifts we “send ahead.” We believe that legacy gifts are created throughout our lives as we build stories, relationships, and ways to inspire and encourage future generations. At the end of our lives, we send these gifts ahead, knowing that God will bless and use them for the good of our faith community and world.
Then Jesus came to them and said,
“All authority on heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirt, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
In The Great Commission Jesus sent his disciples into the world to share the good news.
He sent them ahead,
and this was his legacy.
The Riverside Church is poised to receive financial legacy gifts and invites you into discernment about giving and how to give so that you meet your financial goals and spiritual desires.
The treasures that have blessed us during our lives can be sent ahead to the future ministries and life of The Riverside Church. We’re here to help walk with you every step of the way.
If you have already created a legacy gift, The Riverside Church invites you to announce your gift by letting us know. We would be honored to celebrate your generosity.
The Legacy Giving Ministry hosts regular workshops, panels, and information sessions about theological and practical topics related to legacy giving.
Celebrate what we send ahead by sharing the story of your legacy gift with the Riverside community.
Legacy gifts come in all shapes and sizes, and anyone can create one. Here are a few examples of gifts that provide for you, your loved one, and The Riverside Church.
Bequests are gifts of money, stock, or property created as part of a will or living trust.
Life insurance policies and retirement accounts may name The Riverside Church as a beneficiary.
Trusts and annuities balance your desire to maintain financial security in retirement, contribute to The Riverside Church, and benefit your family members.
