A Grateful Homecoming Weekend
Many of us have been traveling this summer so it has been a joy to see familiar faces back in the pews as summer comes to an end. I hope you’re rested and ready, because this fall at Riverside is going to be great! On September 22-23 so many Homecoming activities are planned; each one has been designed to bring us together and help us remember who we are and why we choose to do life together in this community. September 23, Homecoming Sunday, is a great day to invite a friend you’ve been meaning to introduce to Riverside. Let’s tell the world about this wonderful family of faith! In the days ahead I am thinking of and praying for all of you, especially those of you traveling and our teachers and students headed back to school. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon; get ready for a great year ahead!
Grateful Day of Service
Saturday, September 22 | 10:00 am | Riverside Park
The Riverside Church is partnering with the Riverside Park Conservancy to create a day of community service. Join us for a fun morning of planting flowers and trees as a way of giving and serving while building community with one another and learning more about the history of our very own neighborhood. This opportunity is family friendly and all planting supplies will be provided.
For more information contact Rev. Aaron Rogers at email@example.com.
Saturday, September 22 | 11:30 am | Riverside Park
Join us for this year’s all-church picnic in Riverside Park. We’ll meet as a church family in the open air just behind Grant’s Tomb to enjoy lunch, games, and music. The whole family is invited and you’re encouraged to bring friends and a dessert or side dish to share!
