Stacey Robinson, Baritone is a graduate of The Juilliard School where he studied voice with Simon Estes, and Beverley Peck Johnson. As a young student he won many vocal competitions. His professional career began abroad making his London debut in The Old Vic Theater’s production of Carmen Jones as the boxer Husky Miller. He returned to New York, and joined the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera. He then appeared in the Hal Prince/ Susan Stroman production of Showboat in Toronto, Canada eventually playing the role of Joe where his singing of Old Man River received nightly standing ovations. He later accepted the role of Crown in Houston Grand Opera’s Historic Production of Porgy, and Bess singing with San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle. Portland, and L. A. Operas respectively. He was awarded the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills Hollywood NAACP Theater Award as Best Supporting Actor.
