An event every month that begins at 1:00 pm on day Fourth of the month, repeating until June 25, 2023

The Riverside Church Poetry Group was founded in the late 1970's by Dr. Leo Thorne, Marjorie and Joel Horton as the John Donne/George Herbert Religious Poetry Society of The Riverside Church.  Over time as the types of poetry shared and discussed became more inclusive of subjects, forms and the poetry of cultures worldwide, the group became the "The Riverside Church Poetry Group." Typically, the sessions are guided by themes; however, programs of individual favorites have been scheduled simply for enjoyment and/or discussion.  Invited poets have engaged the group in sessions of writing and sharing of inspired outcomes.  When time allowed, the group engaged in both discussion of themed offerings as well as writing from prompts.  Attendance has ranged from 9 to 16 and sessions have been examples of wonderful fellowship with members providing
