Religious Resistance to Authoritarianism Conference

On December 4, The Riverside Church and co-sponsoring partners will convene religious leaders, civic officials, community activists, and concerned New Yorkers to explore how faith communities—past and present—have resisted authoritarian rule.

The Religious Resistance to Authoritarianism Conference will feature keynote speaker Dr. Ruth Ben-Ghiat, author of Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present, along with panels, workshops, and music highlighting stories of courage and collaboration across traditions and movements.

Participants will learn from global and U.S. examples to strengthen efforts to defend democracy today.
Light breakfast, lunch, and coffee provided.
