Learn about 3 NYC Equity Proposals on Midterm Ballot and Vote Yes! Yes! Yes!

October 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Riverside’s Antiracism Task Force hosts a presentation about three critically important equity proposals on the Nov. 8 midterm ballot.  The three proposals are the recommendations of the 2021 NYC Racial Justice Commission (RJC). Together, they redirect our City Government onto a path to eliminate centuries-long structural racism. This event is part of the series Polls Need Souls: Defending Democracy, Preserving the Earth, Advancing Equity on the Road to the Midterms.

RJC Executive Director Harold Miller will discuss three equity ballot proposals and answer questions.

This presentation is part of the campaign to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) for these three equity proposals, urging everyone to go to the polls, turn over your ballot, and weigh in on these historic proposals in early voting or on election day.

Harold will explain what the 3 equity proposals will look like in action, what other GOTV efforts are happening around the city, and also answer your questions.  Come learn about this important new direction for our city!

The event will open with an introductory discussion with Rev. Nyle Fort, Riverside Church Minister for Justice, Advocacy and Change, and Rev. Bruce Lamb, Riverside Church Minister for Adult Faith Formation.
