Riverside Chamber Series: Beach, Brahms, and Britten

A quartet of Riverside Choir members and friends explore the sacred, secular, and spiritual vocal pieces of these “B”rilliant composers. Discover how each was influenced by the distinct cultural world they inhabited: Johannes Brahms in the Germany of the 19th Century, Benjamin Britten in the Great Britain of the 20th Century, and Amy Beach the United States of both the 19th and 20th. This musical journey will also explore the idea of the “outsider” and how that designation affects the artist and their work.
